I have really missed blogging the past month but am very busy with the ending of one group of trainees and we are now one week into a one month intensive, so this is a breather of at least five minutes. I use this blog primarily as a motivator in my own practice, which is also on the shelf this month. I am getting in BITS but nothing focused.

Plus there is the usual work, clean the house, garden etc stuff that is also not getting done. I am also trying to convince everyone how I don’t photo well and then I see this:

Seriously I used to think Cher was the most beautiful woman in the world in the 70s. Is that Mickey Rourke? So I feel SOMEWHAT better about my lack of photogeneity seeing Cher in a worse photo than me.

Also I hadn’t gone to a good workshop for so long and I went to one for the Bhaktifest that came to Wisconsin with Saul David Raye. It was very good. He is a really good teacher. Not sure what else to say but I still am mostly pumped about the Richard Freeman and Tim Miller workshops in November, so beyond that nothing coming up. I may go see Daylene in Chicago:

She used to teach at Moksha so have seen her a lot there but now she is down in Florida teaching for Kino. I ended up missing the Kino workshops I had signed up for because she cancelled one and some other things came up so I couldn’t go to the other. I will check her out next year, but Daylene is coming to her hometown soon.

I will be in Chicago for along vacay weekend in August and will do some yoga and will write up a review of the studio.

Also I am suffering from empty nest. My babies have all gone. Here is a tribute to the year of the beautiful Decorah eagles. Watching this has helped me recover from you know who winning the you know what and now being a total asshat over the Supreme Court decision because we all know the teabaggers are above the constitution and the Supreme Court now that Wisconsin kept him. No more politics. Birds no more politics.

My classes right now are focusing on marine brute strength and rotating the hips. People. You must rotate those hips. Look at Daylene’s strength and she makes these poses look effortless. I am still struggling with Mary B and D. So must keep working at that. That will be my practice focus once the next three weeks are over. I am doing a week home immersion, some traveling, working on my own workshop, and then it is all yoga masters for me in November.
